Somu Subramaniam

Co-founder and Managing Partner of New Science Ventures, which led our Series A. Somu has spent two decades backing companies built on hard science, and sits on the boards of Achronix Semiconductor, Paragraf, Glydways and Long Wall among others. He was an early director at Lightwire, the silicon photonics company acquired by Cisco. Before founding NSV he was a director at McKinsey & Company, where he led the Strategy, Technology and Healthcare practices and advised multinationals across photonics, semiconductors and medical devices. He holds a B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
