How to choose: Pick the grade your mission needs

MEMS — Tactical Grade

Choose the MK2M2 when size, weight and unit cost drive the design and GNSS is available most of the time. 40 x 40 x 25 mm, 75 g, 1.2 W typ., RS-422 or CAN-FD at up to 500 Hz. In-run bias stability is under 1.0 °/hr typical, 0.5 °/hr minimum, with 0.06 °/√hr angle random walk. In a 21 minute Montreal road test with GNSS position denied, the MK2M2 finished 20.5 m from truth. Drone autopilots, ground robots, rail and mobile mapping payloads.

Photonic — Tactical Grade

Choose the MK2E2 when you lose GNSS for minutes at a time and heading is what breaks first. The optical gyroscope is built on a photonic integrated circuit and cuts angle random walk to 0.03 °/√hr against 0.06 on the MK2M2. Same RS-422 or CAN-FD interface, at 78 x 63 x 36 mm, 230 g and 2 W typ. On the same 21 minute GNSS-denied drive it finished 5.7 m from truth against 20.5 m.

Photonic — Navigation Grade

The MK2Z is a navigation-grade prototype, not a production part. It puts a navigation-grade optical gyroscope on the Z axis at < 0.01 °/hr in-run bias stability and 0.02 °/√hr angle random walk, for long GNSS-denied runs. 83 x 86.5 x 65 mm, 475 g, 4.5 W typical and 7.5 W maximum.
