Announcement: OSCP Appoints IMP Electronics Solutions Exclusive ANZ Distributor for ITAR-Free Photonic Inertial Navigation Products
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA and MONTRÉAL, QUEBEC, CANADA — April 29, 2026 — IMP Electronics Solutions, a leading Australian distributor of specialist electronic components and subsystems, and OSCPS Motion Sensing Inc. (operating as OSCP), a Canadian-headquartered designer of ITAR-free photonic and MEMS inertial measurement units, today announced an exclusive distribution partnership covering Australia and New Zealand.
Under the agreement, IMP Electronics Solutions will represent OSCP's full product line across ANZ — including the MK2E2 photonic IMU, the MK2E2-G photonic IMU with integrated GNSS-INS, the MK2M2 and MK2M2-G MEMS IMU and GNSS-INS products, the MK2Z nav-grade Hybrid PIC photonic IMU (currently shipping at Prototype status), and the InertialGate evaluation kit. The partnership covers all applications, including defence.
A Sovereign-Friendly Alternative for ANZ
“ANZ customers — particularly in defence and sovereign capability programs — have been asking for a high-performance inertial navigation alternative that is not subject to US ITAR controls,” said Kevin Jurrius, Sales and Technical Manager at IMP Electronics Solutions. “OSCP's Canadian origin, combined with photonic performance at a price point that has not previously existed in this market, makes them an obvious fit. We are excited to bring this to our customers.”
“IMP brings deep technical expertise and long-standing customer relationships across ANZ in exactly the verticals where our products deliver the most value,” said Alex Lintott, Commercial Director at OSCP. “This partnership lets us put Canadian-designed, ITAR-free inertial navigation in the hands of ANZ customers with local support, local timezone, and local accountability.”
About the Product Line
OSCP's MK2-series products are Canadian-designed and built on a Canadian and EU supply chain with manufacturing in Canada and the EU. They are not subject to US ITAR export controls. The MK2E2 photonic IMU delivers tactical-grade bias stability (~0.5°/hr typical) and low angular random walk on the optical Z-axis, at a price point typically associated with high-end MEMS systems. The MK2M2 line provides tactical-grade MEMS performance suited to UAV, robotics, survey, and mobile mapping applications.
OSCP's published roadmap includes the MK2X 3-axis photonic IMU and the NavigationGate OEM INS module — a tightly-coupled EKF fusing IMU with wheel odometry, dual-antenna RTK-GNSS, and barometer — both targeted for 2026; the MK3 full silicon-waveguide 3-axis product targeted for 2027; and the MK4 full photonic integrated circuit, tactical-grade product targeted for 2028. The MK2Z is OSCP's nav-grade Hybrid PIC photonic IMU prototype, targeting approximately 0.001°/hr gyro bias stability, and is currently shipping at Prototype status.
Availability
OSCP's shipping product line is available to ANZ customers through IMP Electronics Solutions effective immediately. IMP will showcase the OSCP range at Electronex 2026 in June. ANZ customers can purchase the OSCP Evaluation Kit through IMP — a turnkey bundle of the MK2E2 photonic IMU, InertialGate evaluation board, and 90 days of direct OSCP engineering support — to self-qualify the sensors on their own bench.
