One Silicon Chip Photonics (OSCP), a fabless Canadian developer of photonic and MEMS inertial measurement units, is pleased to announce Texim Europe as its exclusive distributor for Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.

Under the agreement, Texim Europe will provide local sales, technical support and logistics for the OSCP product line across the four countries, and will act as importer of record and stockholder for the region. The two companies will jointly engage defence, marine, autonomous-systems and industrial-automation customers, with joint trade-show presence and technical evaluation programmes to follow.

The partnership gives European integrators local access to the MK2 family: the MK2M2 MEMS IMU, the MK2E2 photonic IMU, the MK2Z navigation-grade photonic prototype, and the InertialGate evaluation interface. Because the products are designed and built in Canada and carry no US-origin controlled content, they are not subject to US ITAR, and export approvals come from Canada rather than Washington. For European programmes that have run into US re-export conditions, that removes a step from the schedule.

Quote, Alex Lintott, Chief Operating Officer, OSCP

“Germany and Benelux sit at the centre of European defence modernisation, and we wanted one channel partner with the engineering depth and the customer relationships to represent us properly across all four countries. Texim Europe brings both. Our customers there have been asking for a tactical-grade inertial option that is not subject to US export control, and now they have one with local support behind it.”
